Why buy APC from an outlet

Replacement battery cartridges are the definition of a grudge purchase. Your UPS is fine, the cells are flat, and Schneider prices the cartridge as if it were a new unit. Surplus stock breaks that pattern: unused cartridges from cancelled projects and cleared warehouses, at a price you set yourself.

The same applies to rack hardware. When a data room is decommissioned or a spec changes late, PDUs and rail kits come out of the crate unused and go straight into ours instead of into a skip.

What to check before you bid

• RBC number. Read it off the existing cartridge; model names change, cartridge numbers do not.
• Voltage. 24V and 230V both appear in this range.
• Manufacturing date. Sealed lead-acid cells age on the shelf, so ask us for the date code if it matters to you.
• Contents. Some listings are a two-piece battery kit rather than a single cartridge.

Are these genuine APC batteries?

How do I find the right RBC cartridge?

Take the RBC number from the label on your current battery pack, or look up your UPS model on Schneider's site. One RBC number usually covers a family of UPS units, which is why the cartridge number beats the model name.
