See and be seen with integrated AIS
The RS40-B contains a class B AIS-Opdontanger, which not only receives AIS goals, but also passes on the position of your boat to vessels that are equipped with AIS in the neighborhood. This helps other sailors to recognize your boat day and night. A built-in AIS receiver monitors the position of other ships equipped with AIS, so that you can proactively prevent collisions in busy ports and waterways. AIS information can be viewed on the built-in screen of the radio or as an overlay on your card or radar screen via a compatible multifunctional display.
Removable
Fist microphone The removable fist microphone from the RS40-B can be connected to the front or back of the radio, and with optional extension cables the microphone and radio can be mounted separately. This offers a simple and cost -effective solution for every mounting location, without a jumble of cables. For example, the RS40-B can be mounted above the head, without hanging cables, while the microphone is connected to an extension on the dashboard underneath.
Expandable with wireless handsets
Add an optional HS40 wireless handset to take your VHF radio with you everywhere. Each handset duplicates the display and the operating elements of your radio, making access to distance to all important functions possible. A maximum of two handsets can be connected to a single RS40-B, and if several handsets are connected, your radio also serves as an intercom on board.
