The Raymarine Mob Lifetag System Complete-E12185 is a wireless man-over-on-board (MOB) safety system specially designed for use on boats. The system consists of a number of parts, including a base station and a number of tags that can be worn by the crew.
The base station is equipped with a large display that shows the position of all crew members, as well as any mob-alarms. The base station can be connected to the card plotter and other navigation instruments, so that the crew can receive information about the location of MOCs in real-time.
The mob-tags are supported by the crew members and contain a built-in GPS receiver and a motion sensor. If a crew member falls overboard, a mob-alarm is automatically activated and the position of the person is recorded. The base station shows the position of the mob on the screen and can, if necessary, adjust the navigation instruments to help the crew find the mob.
