Garmin

Why buy Garmin from an outlet

Garmin holds its pricing hard. Dealers run on fixed margins, so a GPSMAP or a Fantom radar costs much the same in every store. Surplus stock is the exception. We purchase from shipyards, installers and distributors when a refit is cancelled or a range superseded, which is why unused Garmin products sit here at a fraction of the dealer price.

Nothing is downgraded and no product is a special outlet build. These are the same Garmin models, in the same boxes, designed for the same service life. Stock is finite and most items are single pieces, so a unit that goes rarely returns in the same specification. Understand that and this is the cheapest place to source Garmin.

What you find in our Garmin range

Chartplotters and multifunction displays

GPSMAP touchscreen plotters from 5 to 24 inch, plus multifunction displays. These are the most popular Garmin products we handle. Check the cut-out and whether the unit is flush or bracket mount, and view the connector list against your network.

Fishfinders, transducers and sonar

Transom-mount and thru-hull transducers, depth sensors and LiveScope sonar. Choice depends on hull material, deadrise angle and the sonar functions you want, so take care to match the part number, not the picture. Our transducers collection holds more.

Radar

Fantom domes in 18 and 24 inch. Radar needs a compatible plotter and enough mast height, so plan the install and cable running first. View our radar collection for alternatives.

Autopilots and steering

Reactor 40 corepacks, ECU units, course computers and GHC heads. An autopilot is a system, not one product, so ensure drive type, pump and head all meet the same specification. Our steering machines collection covers the rest.

GPS antennas and NMEA 2000

Garmin GPS antennas, heading sensors, network expanders and NMEA 2000 cable. Garmin GPS receivers use multi-GNSS positioning, holding GPS accuracy to a few metres and limiting the loss running close to high banks. A clean backbone is half the job on any GPS install.

VHF radios and instruments

Black box VHF systems with DSC, handset extension cables, instrument displays, switch panels and clinometers, all running on 12V or 12/24V. Contact us if you are unsure which handset fits.

Cables, brackets and accessories

Sun covers, extension cables, converter blocks and brackets. These are the parts that stall an install, and running short mid-job is the quickest way to lose time. We love finding a pallet of them and offer them at a few euro each.

Garmin watches and the rest of the range

Garmin makes far more than marine electronics, and plenty of people who search for an outlet want Garmin watches. Worth being clear: our stock is marine only, so we do not sell watches.

Which Garmin watches do what, and which models suit which sport

Garmin watches split into a few popular families. Fenix watches are the rugged multisport GPS smartwatches, with the Fenix 6X Pro known for battery life up to three weeks and the Fenix 8 Pro for its AMOLED display. Fenix is what people mean when they say Garmin watches are expensive, and Fenix watches top the price range. Forerunner watches are designed for running: the 55 targets beginner and intermediate runners who want running pace and distance, while the 265S Music is a cardio multisport GPS smartwatch for running and gym activities. Garmin Instinct watches are the tougher, simpler choice; Venu watches add a bright screen for everyday sport and sport tracking. Both sit under the Fenix watches on price, and Garmin watches at that level suit most buyers. Across the multisport GPS smartwatches range, GPS accuracy sits within three to five metres, and most Garmin models support multi-GNSS so GPS pace and distance hold up under trees.

Garmin watches work with the Garmin Connect app on iPhone and Android. These watches sync data over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, put notifications on the wrist, and read an optical heart rate sensor through the skin for Body Battery and stress tracking. Water resistance on Garmin watches is typically 5ATM, so swimming and watersport are fine. Take the charger on a long trip, because these devices use their own cable. Fenix and Forerunner watches share it, Instinct watches do not always.

Where Garmin watches are cheapest

Garmin watches carry prices starting at roughly £115 and running past £1,000 for a loaded Fenix, a starting point rather than a rule. Prices drop in three places: previous-generation models, promotions, and refurbished watches, which usually carry a 12-month warranty and a 30-day return window. Refurbished watches also support a circular economy, the same logic that makes surplus marine stock worth selling rather than scrapping. Any of these beats paying full list. Buying from Garmin or an authorised shop ensures a genuine device, full warranty and service, worth the premium for that confidence.

For a quick answer: the cheapest Garmin watches are last year's watches in a promotion. Shop our marine range here instead.

What to check before you bid

• Compatibility. Plotters, radar, sonar and autopilots must be on matching network generations; view the spec sheet.
• Voltage. Everything runs on 12V or 12/24V; check your supply and running load.
• Condition. Most items are unused, a few are marked used or second chance, and every product page states which. View the photos before you decide.
• Completeness. Some listings are the core unit only, without cable or bracket.
• Cut-out. Replacing an older display rarely means a like-for-like hole.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get Garmin cheaper?

Three routes. Choose a previous generation model, wait for a promotion, or take surplus stock from an outlet, and GPS gear follows the same pattern. The first two depend on timing, the third on what a distributor is clearing at the time. Discounts of 40% and more show up on end-of-line marine products, though nobody can promise a fixed percentage.

Is there a Garmin store where I can try the watches?

Garmin brand stores focus on hands-on testing of the current lineup, so you can see how the watches sit on the wrist. They are not clearance outlets.

Is there a Garmin store in the UK?

Garmin sells in the UK through its own online shop, through authorised dealers and through marine chandlers. There is no Garmin factory outlet chain, so buyers chasing a lower price compare dealer promotions against independent outlets like this one.

Are these products genuine Garmin?

Yes. Original Garmin stock from shipyards, installers and distributors, part numbers intact. We are independent of Garmin, which is why we are not bound by dealer pricing.

Do outlet products come with a warranty?

The statutory warranty applies and our warranty period matches the manufacturer's. Keep the invoice as proof of purchase. For service or firmware, Garmin support handles the device and can help with registration.

Can I still get charts and updates for an older Garmin plotter?

Usually yes. Garmin has a long record of firmware and chart service on marine products, though the newest functions land on current models first. Review the model page, or contact us, before committing to an older plotter.
